Please read all of this. I know it's long, but just bear with me.

In the UK on August 11th (I believe was the day) of 2007, Sophie Lancaster and her boyfriend Robert Maltby were jumped by a group of 15-16 year olds while walking home. What reason you ask? Because they were labeled as being "goth." In better terms, they were simply just different. They weren't running around vandalizing property, attacking people, yelling or anything. They were just different.(Also, comment <3 at the top to let me know you cared enough to read through this, thanks)

Robert passed out during the attack and Sophie cradled him in an attempt to protect him. They small mob proceeded to kick and stomp Sophie in the head repeatedly. She slipped into a coma. And needless to say... she didn't wake up from it.

Her murderers later celebrated by telling friends afterwards that they had, "done something good," and claiming: "There's two moshers nearly dead up Bacup park — you wanna see them — they're a right mess."

On November 25, 2009 a video was released as tribute to Sophie. I think it's something everyone should see. There is too much hate and closed mindedness in this world. After I found out about this months ago (though the news clip didn't say her name) I was nearly ashamed to even be human to be honest. So please show your support and watch the video (there is a link provided at the end of this journal). There are sites for the foundation her mother started which you can donate to if you wish to do so(which should have links to in the vid. description and channel of the poster of the video).
